I was afraid that they might be too narrow, as I normally wear a wide size, but these fit great in the medium width available. They feel like they would be as protective as anything available in a cycle crash (God forbid)! They look nice and brawny, and the zipper is a nice feature for quick removal of the boot. Great non-slip sole for cycle riding. They should last a long time.

Well made, easy on & off (even using the laces; obviously the side zipper is convenient), great traction on the road. These seem really well made, and should last a lifetime (the Goodyear welt allows them to be re-soled if necessary).I usually wear them on my commute, and change into sneakers at work, so I can't speak to their all day comfort.I'm sure that will change in the winter; when I'll appreciate their height & warmth.As far as feeling protected, I think that in a high speed head on collision, my feet may be the only thing to survive intact!(Translation- these are GREAT motorcycle boots.)I love the secure feeling I get on the highway now.

I bought these for my dad, he's been looking for this boot for several years now. These are the most comfortable boots he has ever owned. He is a truck driver and needs a boot that will withstand a lot of wear, and is also easy to get on and off quickly.
