I order the Kodiak because I already own a pair of Haflinger Grizzlies and I wear them all of the time around the house. I was surprised to receive the darker brown shoe although I do like the color. However the fit of the shoe was much different then the Grizzlies. Although I ordered the same size as my grizzlies this shoe felt smaller and tighter--maybe because they are leather. I did wear them around the house for awhile trying to decide whether or not to keep them and I guess I will, but overall dissapointed in the fit.

I love Haflinger shoes, and they're usually hard to find. I have a condition called Hallux rigidus (an arthtitic condition of the big toe), and Haflingers are one of the few brands of shoes I can wear without pain. I ordered these shoes in three different colors, because I wanted comfortable shoes to work in (as a massage therapist I'm on my feet ALL day). I ordered them in size 37, which is my regular European size, though these were a bit big. And even though I wish I would have had the patience to exchange them for a 36, I didn't because I wanted to wear them right away. The fit is OK with heavy wool socks, though the arches don't hit in exactly the right place. They are still very comfortable, however, look great, and are easy to slip on.
