I have another pair of Halfinger slippers, a slipper-sock style, which I love but are too warm for anything but the winter and hard to slip in and out of.The Freddie is a great house shoe (we try to spare the carpet and hardwood by keeping outside shoes off inside)and are light enough to pack for travel.I find them extremely comfortable.From prior experience with the others, they should wash well when needed.A comment about size - I had first ordered my usual size 9, or 40, and they were much too large and floppy, so I reordered them in a 39.These are not meant for outside wear, except possibly a brief foray on dry, clean pavement.I like the neutral, natural color and the simple neutral styling.

These are very soft, breathable wool and are extremely comfortable. I tend to wear them all day without even realizing it. The only downside is that the center seam running down the top of your foot can sometimes get irritating if they're worn all day without socks, as I wear them. But these are a real luxury. I know I will keep them for years to come.

These slippers have a lot of give. You can definitely buy a smaller size and you don't have to worry about the width because they get as wide as you need them to be. I wear a size 8 shoe, but in the Freddie slipper a size 7 fits with plenty of room to spare. A size 8 would actually be too big.They are beyond comfortable. I live in them after work and on weekends. They keep my feet comfortably warm in winter and cool and dry in summer. They wash and dry beautifully and they seem to get better with age. Seriously, I've been wearing them every day for two years and they look as good as they did the day I opened the box. Try them. You will definitely love them!
Wears this shoe: Sadly, it's a slipper not a shoe, so I wear them in the house all the time.
