The height offers ankle support.

Being a big man that works on his feet all day, construction I need a shoe that gives me support and comfort. Pounding the concrete and standing on ladders all day long requires a boot that can keep my feet from fatigue. I normally have found that unless you spend around $100 dollars plus, you get what you pay for. Although, I would not put this boot in the heavy duty category, it is superior than light to medium duty service purchases made in the past. This boot does not require a better insole, which surprised me. The non-lug sole is great for scraping the mud off you feet, and is comfortable. This boot did not require a break-in period either. Another plus is that some boots tend to make my feet hot at the end of the day and I can't wait to take them off; I do not rush to kick these baby's off.

This pair of boots have met all of my expectations. Finding narrow width boots of any kind is always difficult and I am very pleased to have found the GR boots on your website. I use custom orthotic inserts and they fit perfectly into the boots and give me the comfort and support I have been looking for. We are deep into the snow season in the Northeast and the boots are getting plenty of use.
Wears this shoe: Whenever there is snow, slush or whatever on the ground.
Great fit for my narrower foot.

These are beautiful, high quality boots. The best thing, though, is that they come in B Width. This is hard to find and I often compromise fit for me because most boots are Ds. They fit beautifully, true to length and width. I'll have 'em for many years.
