I needed a very specific type of boot for my new job. I had to have ankle support at least 1" above the ankle, a 90 degree square heel instep, and a steel or fiberglass shank. This boot had all of those things for a low price. For that I was thankful.Upon receiving these boots in the mail I discovered that the sizing is a bit off. I have been wearing size 10 shoes and boots for over 10 years. I have not had to try on a pair of shoes or boots in a very long time. If it's size 10, it will fit. That was not really the case with these. I can get them on my feet just fine, but my toes touch the inside and get kind of smashed. This was especially evident while wearing gaffs (spiked climbers used to climb utility poles). After wearing these boots every day for the last two weeks I have discovered that the lacing hardware is kind of weak as well. I have already started to bend two of the lacing hooks.Pros: All the features I needed for a reasonable priceCons: Sizing is off and lacing hardware is weak.
