Ordered just before Christmas to wear to parties during the holidays. Ordered in wide with this the calves are also wider so they are a little loose. They work great with skinny jeans as the jeans take up the space due to the bigger calves. Got the patent black may order the PU later. With the 4" heels and the 1 1/2" platform it's like walking on 2 1/2" heels. I have worn all day 8 hours without any problems very easy to walk in. The only thing the laces come off every time there unzipped and have to re-lace before wearing. I think you get them laced up and use pliers to press down the hooks to hold the lacing in place then use the zipper would work. Wore them with retro bell-bottoms to the club and got noticed right away. If you have smaller calves you might stay with the M not W the laces open if you need room. Very cute boots for the winter with jeans.

I've been looking for a pair of lace-up, knee-high boots for a couple years now after the pair that I had for 4 or 5 years finally broke. The only thing that stinks is that they don't come in half sizes which I think would have fit slightly better if they did but otherwise they are pretty comfortable and since they are lace-up, I can adjust the tightness of the shaft.

I have wide flat feet and large calves and have tried on sooo many boots that just don't fit in big shoe warehouses, but these are amazing! Added bonus--surprisingly comfortable, especially since I am usually a huge wuss when it comes to heels. Well balanced, light considering how big they are, and easy to walk and stand in. Love love love love love.

My daughter wears a size 8, but I bought a 9 because of the reviews and they fit her really well. She also has big muscular calves and because of the lacings they also fit her calves. She loves them. She is going to wear them all the time. Color is nice and shiny. Everything is great arrived on time. Love shoebox.com and love these shoes!
