To this broad-hooved lummox who's long suffered "wide" footwear that isn't, Footprints' Santarems are a revelation. What a concept: shoes actually shaped like feet! Figures they've been discontinued...

This is closer to the typical Birkenstock sandals fit and feel than other footprints shoes. It is great as a pair of driving shoes as it is thin around toes and round heed on the outside. As for colour my pair of Black, is more rustic Grey than back.
Wears this shoe: everyday walking and driving.

Had to buy a different shoe because the footbed was so uncomfortable. I wore them for 3 weeks, 12 hours a day on my feet, and never could get used to them- they just didn't fit my foot shape. I hate that I spent this much money, and they feel absolutely horrible.

These are very well made shoes. They are made in Portugal and reflect true European craftsmanship. They are sturdy, durable, shoes that will last many years. I purchased my first pair 6 or 7 years ago and wear them more than any others. I recently purchased two additional pairs, one black and one brown. I wear the new brown ones to work, the old brown ones for leisure, and hope to use the black ones when I go folk dancing.
