Was very disappointed that whip stitching came apart after 2nd wearing. Have bought 10 pairs of Fly Flot shoes but the quality for the Ashura was not what I expected.

I just got these shoes and at first, considered returning them. The distressed t-strap is a bit lighter than I anticipated. It's leather, but looks somewhat like a jeans fabric. Zoom in on the image to better see the effect. I got them in black. It might be less noticeable in beige. In the house, they didn't look like true black with black pants, but when I wore them outside, I liked the look a lot better and decided to keep them. They fit my 8.5 feet perfectly, are very comfortable and offer good support without binding or pinching. I didn't need to adjust them but it's easy to do. The hand-stitching is well done and they have just enough height for sporty long or short dresses or pants.
Wears this shoe: With casual warm-weather wear. Walking, travel, BBQs, pool parties, cruising.

These are cuter in real life and ULTRA comfortable. Bought them for miles of walking in Europe. Like walking in slippers but with support. Usually wear 8.5 or 9 and EU40 fits perfectly. Of the 7 pair I ordered (Merrell, Spring Step, Romika) the others paled in comparison for comfort. I docked them one star because of a small thing--they are a bit noisy. Because of the smooth leather sole (vs. suede), they made a soft "thwack" with every step--like the sound of your heel sticking and unsticking (which is the case). I can't imagine this wouldn't be a problem for every foot but it might not bother some people.
