I chose the Mecenno because of the leather outsole, and because overall, Florsheim shoes are a good value. It's what you'd expect for the price point, and the detail is also. I've had good experience with leather after adding sole protectors, and get an average of 6-7 years of wear with proper maintenance. That, and the Mecenno is a classic style with a twist.
