I find it impossible to find a dress boot in the New Orleans area that satisfies my taste. I have made internet purchases of boots twice in the past that failed to fit properly so I was a bit concerned that I would meet the same problem with the Florsheim Hugo. My concern was unjustified with this pair, they fit perfectly AND they were exactly as advertised: soft leather. One problem existed: they were slippery until I scuffed the soles sufficiently enough to get a grip.

This was my fourth on-line shoe purchase and the first that fit properly. Even though more expensive, at times, the Florsheim brand has always fit well and been comfortable. I will know better next time to make this choice first.

The Florsheim Hugo is very well made, classy, and fits very nicely, almost the way a pair of gloves fits. However, I didn't need to order larger size. They were quite confortable right of the box. They look great in both colors. I am buying an extra pair of each...after all, boots might go out of fashion again for a while, and these Hugos would be hard to go without.
