I've worn several incarnations of Birkenstock Footprints over the past decade and have been looking for more variety, I've found it in the Finn's. The Footprint's have become somewhat limited in appeal so its refreshing to find an alternative. I'm a big guy and I'm on my feet all day; mostly concrete floors, so good support is important to me. Here I've got that and a good looking shoe to boot, no pun intended.

I found the #1 comfort walking shoe a waste of my money after wearing them at the shopping mall- I could not wait to get home and take them off. On the other hand I think this shoe really looks handsome and its well made. I bought a pair of skechers and the comfort I got from them is amazing and next to the Finn the comfort was heavenly.

The shoes are beautiful. My father however, (82yrs old and suffering from plantar fascitis) felt they were a little hard on the sole. Although these shoes are shock absorbing, they do feel hard on the sole. He says that he needs a shoe with more cushioning to prevent feeling his bone from hurting.

I am a woman. I bought men's shoes because they provide additional depth in the toe box. These particular men's shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have found because the seams are sewn up higher than most shoes, and therefore they don't irritate my tender bunions. They seem to me to have good arch support but I'm not an expert. However, I experienced several striking pains just below the ball of the foot after wearing the shoes for several hours the first day. I had never experienced that particular pain before so I was worried that I might have to return the shoes. They were so comfortable in every other way that I decided to try a gradual adjustment period which I assume my feet needed to get used to the arch support.
