I had heard that Fin Comfort was a very nice shoe, but had never owned a pair before due mostly to the prohibitive cost. I decided to try the brand. The styling of the shoe is great. The main difference between the Finn Comfort shoe and other brands is that the heel of the shoe and toe are basically on the same plain with a very prominent arch. This takes some getting used to, but not limiting. I also own a couple of pairs of Propet Village Walkers that cost MUCH LESS than these shoes and feel enormously more comfortable than the Finn Comfort shoes. The main quality that I want from a shoe is something that looks nice with great comfort. For the price Finn Comfort is not high on my list.

I've been wearing Finn Comfort shoes for several years. Although I hate paying the high price for these shoes, they are supremely comfortable, especially when doing a lot of walking or when spending extended periods of time on your feet. They are comfortable right out of the box (no break-in necessary) and are so worth the price.I bought this pair of shoes just before leaving on a trip to Rome. I knew I'd be doing a lot of walking on uneven pavement, spending hours on my feet in museums and while touring the monuments. These shoes kept my feet comfortable regardless of the situation. While not particularly stylish, they don't look bad, although I suppose they are what some people might call "sensible shoes". Never mind, comfort trumps style, any day in my book. If you're looking for a dead comfortable walking shoe, you can't go wrong with Finn Comfort.Do not rely on the Shoebuy sizing conversion chart. The Shoebuy chart says I should order a European size 45. In fact, the correct conversion is European size 46.

Had expected shoe to have more "muscle" for all-day city walking, but it makes an A Number One shoe for all other times.
