I needed an everyday bag to serve as a purse and to carry my android tablet. I can just slide my tablet, in its soft case, into the front zippered pocket. That leaves plenty of room in the main compartment for my purse stuff. Although this bag is bigger than I would usually prefer to carry as a purse, the shape is slim and the leather is soft, so the bag is comfortable to carry and pretty easy to handle. The magnetic flap stays closed. The crossbody strap is long enough and comfortable. The bag could be improved with an additional handle for lifting and carrying the bag when it is not on my shoulder, but that is a minor flaw. I'm pleased with the look and functionality of the bag, and I tried many before settling on this one.

I really love this bag: it does exactly what I bought it for! Some places don't allow you to bring a backpack, but with this one, you can magically transform it into a shoulder bag. I carry a heavy camera, so it's more comfortable as a backpack, but it's great to have the option to change it into something acceptable everywhere.The side pockets are perfect for a small water bottle. There seems to be just the right amount of zippers and such.Only complaints: the exterior back pockets has no zipper and the strap material is very slippery.

The Ellington Mia crossbody purse is very attractive, well-made with many organizational pockets. Purchased the olive and love the color. Be mindful that the purse is on the slim side, but that's what I wanted.

I wanted a not-black summer bag in the hobo style and my search on "hobo purses" uncovered this Ellington hobo. It is a little larger than I was hoping, but I've adjusted. Love that it has a black handle and even a touch of tan where the handle attaches to the sides. Pockets inside are adequate and the leather is soft and not shiny as suggested by the word "glazed" in the description. I dripped almond butter oil on it and washed the spots with warm water and dish soap - it worked. That motivated me to purchase a spray-on leather sealer from the shoe repair shop. Two coats didn't change the color and it is more repellant to water/oil now. I'm actually thinking of purchasing the all-black version for winter!
