Vegetable tanned and metal-free leather insole with ECCO Comfort Fibre System™ foam (recycled material) or insole with textile/felt with perforated EVA which ensures good air circulation. Both types are interchangeable.
Anatomically shaped, extra soft and flexible Freon-free polyurethane (PU) midsole with shock absorption (shock point). Hardwearing, light and flexible Freon-free polyurethane (PU) outsole.

Very comfortable shoe. Have trouble keeping my feet warm and dry but this does a great job in cold conditions.

I bought this boot on the recommendatin of a friend. They were very comfortable however after about 18 months of normal wear the outsole began to shed pieces which did not seem normal to me. I'm going to try a second pair and if the same thing happens to the second pair I'll try another brand.
Wears this shoe: Normal day to day street wear as I am retired.

I own several pairs of Ecco shoes, including the low version of this boot. They are unequivocably the most comfortable and longest-lasting of any brand available- Plus they look really good! These are absolutely worth the price for a waterproof, on-your-feet-all-day shoe!

I've worked for a package delivery company for almost 25 yrs and I can put a lot of wear and tear on any work shoe. The Ecco II boot is the only one that has never caused me discomfort including during the break-in period. I've recommended these boots to my co-workers and family members and they've had the same great experience I've had with the Ecco II. The only complaint I have is that for every pair I've ever owned (approx. 8) the stitching on the inside left toe starts to come undone after about 8 months. I think it's because I use my left foot as a pivot and therefore that seam takes a greater beating then the rest of the boot. I use this boot for everything - delivering packages, hiking, yard working or just walking. Highly recomment it.
