Having just been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, I didn't know what to expect in the way of corrective shoes. I'm glad I found these first. Heel stabilization is very good, medial arch support is good, heel cushioning is good, although I may add a gel heel cushion. I have the option of lacing up one more set of eyelets at the ankle for more support, but don't think I need it. Some references suggest using a soft sole, but I like the stiffness of the external steel shank from heel to ball of foot. I like the style, and wear these for everyday casual shoes during the summer.

I purchased a pair of Ecco shoes very similar to these. They are great. I find that other brands are heavy on my feet. These are lightweight and extremely comfortable--no break-in for these shoes!!!

3040 vs 3060

Previous year I wore the 3040's. The toe box fit as expected. These new 3060's have a bigger toe box and by foot slides around.
