I purchased the shoe because I've always liked Ecco shoes. I have had several casual shoes (sea walkers) and dress shoes from Ecco, and have always had great experiences with them. I had my hesitations purchasing this golf shoe, as it is made in Thailand. (Ecco's normal lines are mainly European manufactured). As I purchase golf shoes only once every 2 years, money is no object, seeing how even the most expensive pair of golf shoes costs less than a current model driver ($400-500). So I won't hesitate to purchase a shoe as long as it fits right, and is comfortable. When I first tried them on, they were probably the 10th shoe I tried on. It fit like a glove. Mind you, the front of the shoe is slightly more snug than Ecco's normal fit, but this is also the first "atheletic" shoe I've bought from Ecco, so the snug fit might be intentional. Either way, the shoes were much better than anything else from any other golf manufacturer, Footjoy and Nike included. The leather is supple, soft, and feels of premium quality, like your favorite high end leather couch. Other brands feel stiff, like you need to break them in. Obviously, this is a different type of shoe than a dressgolf shoe, or a saddle shoe. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a casual dress type shoe for golf made of the most supple materials.

I had to order 1 size smaller to accommodate length, but then the width was too narrow. Decent breathability.
