At first these felt heavy, but now I'm used to them, and love them. They give you a nice solid foot bed, and feel very supportive.

I own a pair of Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX Trail-Running Shoes that feel a bit firmer than these, but the sizing is different. The Salomons are slightly narrower and shorter than the Eccos, even though both were labeled as European 46. The bungee cord lacing on the Eccos works a bit better than the lacing for the Salomons, so, overall, I like these more.

I like Slip-On's and No Lace Shoes...these are comfy and great for everyday...keep your feet warm and dry...easy on easy off...I rate them a 9 for now if they last awhile I would give them a 10 for sure well worth the money even though they are expensive...Have worn them everyday since I got them...
