I first was introduced to Ecco airport friendly shoes when I purchased the Arlanda slip on model from a flight crew store. I've worn them for years, and they still look great today, but wanted a new pair in a lace up model. The Berlin model is also airport friendly. It's a great looking shoe and is very high quality like my previous pair. I found the size to be true to size, and not smaller than marked as suggested by some.

I am a big fan of ECCO shoes. The shoes are lightweight, but durable. I wear orthotics, so the removable soles are a must. My only challenge was that these seemed slightly larger than my other ECCO's.

A Very Comfortable Shoe

It took a couple of days of wearing these shoes for them to feel fully sneaker-like. The arch support was a tad high at first. But the width was comfortably roomy; just right, I would say. After the first few days of wear they became ideal, in terms of comfort. They now do feel like sneakers to me (well, as much as any dress shoe would). I actually look forward to putting them on in the morning. And when I get home at night, I am in no rush to take them off. I even walk in them around my neighborhood in the evening. The leather is supple and the soles are soft, yet strong in that they feel rather supportive. I especially like their grip on all floors, from slick to carpeted. I would also say that they feel like the footprint is a bit wider than my old shoes (they look a little broad with the squared tip).
