I bought this shoe and 2 prs like it because I had a seamless transition from the brand and style I formerly had worn[which is no longer being made - the company is defunct] with my first pair. I have just come back from vacation to Copper Canyon, and this shoe walked the rim of the canyon walls, as well as climbed down to the various rock shelters. They offer support that I do not get in step-in pumps. They are not so bulky that I felt out of style when wearing them to cultural events in Chihuahua. And they come in black...
