I have lots of foot problems which sometimes make closed toe shoes very painful, even with extra depth and extra width in the toe area. Therefore, I've been trying out sandals. These are the best I've found for my condition. The Earth design, with negative heel technology, takes some pressure off the toes, and the 3 adjustable velcro straps make it easy to adjust the sandals to fit snugly, while being very comfortable. The toes can spread out a little and not dig into each other, like my toes often do in regular shoes.
Wears this shoe: Mostly in the house while getting used to wearing sandals for the first time.

I bought a pair of Earth tennis shoes hoping for a great walking shoe and had sore feet the moment I put them on. After returning them, I ordered the Earth sandals. What a difference! I did order them at the whole size under the regular half I wear because of another recommendation. I took them on a lengthy walk straight out of the box and have loathed taking them off since. These are great!
Wears this shoe: Any time I don't have to wear running shoes or dress shoes.

These shoes have worked out great so far. I have worn them canoeing and hiking. I tried Tevas but they didn't have enough arch support. These provide a lot of support and are comfortable and attractive.
Wears this shoe: Hiking, canoeing, outdoor activities.

These sandals were comfortable from the moment I took them out of the box and put them on. They are, by far, the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned and I will definitely buy the same ones again, when the time comes!
