I had problems with my small toe due to wearing shoes that were too narrow for too long; I have given all those shoes to a charity and am now only buying wide shoes. I got the 4E in this shoe -- it is fantastic. Plenty of room in the toe box, sturdy sole, solid and supportive construction. I like this shoe a lot

Received the shoes the week before we took our grand kids to Disney World for 8 days. They weren't broke in before the trip but they are now. I had an app that tracked how far and how many steps I would take. The first morning until lunch I walked over 4.2 miles and that wasn't the longest part of the day. I estimated that I walked between 30 to 32 miles in 4 1/2 days of use. I had to loosen the shoe laces the first 2 days because as the day went on, the shoes seemed to tighten up or either my feet were swelling. So far everything appears to be ok with these shoes.
