I ordered another pair of boots but was very disappointed in their appearance (too dressy). I waited for several weeks before I found these and knew they were the right ones for me. I wasn't disappointed. They fit great and look good, too.

To be honest, I bought a pair of Vestige Boots at a local shoe store, so I knew what I wanted when I placed my ShoeBuy.com order for a 'back-up' pair. The Vestige fits my feet perfectly and, better still, doesn't cut into my ankles when I'm walking. I do a lot of that when I head out with my two dogs, twice a day, for an hour of sniffin' 'n strollin' on their part. My plan is to wear the boot when it's snowy/slippery outside because my NB walking shoes don't grip well enough. Here comes a confession though: Although it's been very cold, I've yet to experience weather serious enough to put the Vestige's traction to the test. I don't mind that at all because, now in my 'senior years,' I hate winter weather.
Wears this shoe: When I walk my dogs and/or have to shovel snow from my sidewalk and driveway.

Boot? Running Shoe?

This boot fits and feels like something in between a light-weight hiking boot and a running shoe. It's a bit stiffer than a running shoe, but more supple and less supportive than a light-weight hiking boot. The sole feels thinner than a hiking boot, and even thinner than some running shoes. It's comfortable right out of the box with medium to thick socks. The rounded shape of the heel makes it ideal for driving, and it's not bulky, which also makes it a good driving shoe.So far, it has held up well to city wear.
