I am a large guy with large, wide feet. I live in NYC and walk a lot on concrete and asphalt. A pair of sneakers that would normally last at least a year anywhere else lasts six months if you're lucky in the City. I was interested in these because some years ago I bought a pair of Dunham cap-toe ankle high boots, and they lasted forever. But I could never find them again. I was looking for a durable, comfortable slip on shoe, and decided to try these because of the Dunham name. I've only been wearing them a couple weeks, but I'm very pleased. The cushioning inside utilizes New Balance technology. The arch support is firm and perfect. Rarely can I find shoes with this much arch support. They are well cushioned too. They fit perfectly right out of the box, and I can spend all day in them without fatigue. They might not be the most fashionable pair of shoes in my wardrobe, but if they last as long as the Dunham boots I owned before, they will be my go to shoe for a long, long time.
Wears this shoe: Everyday wear, walking, business casual work.

This is a very comfortable boot for hiking. This is the second pair I have bought with the last one going 10 years and over 500 miles with out pain or discomfort. I used 4e wide boot and Dunham provides this as well as all of the other sizes. Boot size runs true to measurements so no need to guess if it will fit. Dunham is the boot division of New Balance,so if you enjoy New Balance footwear as I do you will feel right at home. They are good for a day walk or 2 week backpacking trip. I highly recommend Dunham for those folks that need a wider width boot than most footwear makers provide.

Bought these shoes for my boyfriend since they are sold through New Balance. He wears New Balance size 11 1/2 EEEE and I bought the same size in this shoe. He tried them on and they fit perfectly and no pinching while walking.
