I was wearing these boots in the boy scouts in 1964. It was a great boot then and it is a great boot now. This is an all-american boot. Period!

The boot is great because there is not too much tread, the perfect amount of insulation, and is very comfortable, just wish there were more choices in width.

The boot feels very well made and the workmanship is excellent. It is a bit heavy but I think that is part of its craftsmanship.Its Canadian manufacture seems superior to the Dunham boots made by New Balance in the United States. I only wish this boot also came in a version that sported A vibram lug sole, that would make a perfect duo.
Wears this shoe: In snow and rain when I want to depend on dry feet.

I have worn Dunham 7701 style for probably 25 years, and obviously have always been more than satisfied with this boot. Comfortable work boots prior to finding Dunhams were a problem for me. I have a narrow foot (B width), and most boots come in D and wider. However, by using insoles, I have always been able to size Dunhams for comfort. I bought 2 pairs to be sure I have another pair of Dunhams. For some strange reason, the current pair will not conform to my needs. The boots are still "new" in the sense that I have worn them only 3 days. It appears that the right foot toe fold will be too close to the toe, and will pinch my big toe. The tops of the boots are still very stiff, but that will likely change in a few weeks. The major issue seems to be that the boots are wider than I have bought in the past. I will add insole in an attempt to compensate for the width.SO far, I am very disappointed in the way these boots are "breaking in", and I still have a second pair to contend with.Bob Wasson
