A shoe for all seasons

At times I need to be in the weather and the waterproof feature sounded like a great option for me. The shoe was kind of thrown in and it actually fit 2e width. I can wear the shoes all day with no discomfort.

I have a hard time finding wide widths for my husband in a shoe that looks a bit dressy. Glad I found these my husband loves the fit, I like that they are well made and look good on his foot.

Best shoe I've ever worn besides a custom shoe
By John, from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida | November 19, 2013
First off, I had polio when I was a kid; my left foot is 12WW, my right foot is 10 1/2WWWWWW with a very high arch and my right leg is 3/4" shorter than my left. I have no inside calf muscle on this leg. Obviously I've tried just about everything short of costly "custom" shoes. I can only answer one question about my purchase, so I averaged. Even with my 'handicap' I was expected to pull my load along with everyone else. I managed to excel in high school sports and even Marine Corps boot camp in '67 with my "one-size-fits-all" combat boots and survived Vietnam in '69. I joined a police department after discharge and was expected to wear uniform shoes. When I purchased my shoes I had to buy two pairs to match my different sizes, and just because the right shoe was "my size" it was NOT my SHAPE! Plus I never knew about Extra Wide shoes being available until I retired 25 years later. After that I went back to my sandals and tennis shoes. I'm now a supervisor of security for a Homeland Security contract on mass transit (trains)and again have to wear certain shoes. It's a long story (many manufacturers, shoe combinations and trials that all failed) but I finally found what I needed at ShoeBuy. I first purchased my two pairs of a another shoe of similar style, but they either failed or simply wore out. My ultimate success is the Dunham Oxford; it's WELL worth it. They're comfortable and last a long time, and I add a spacer to my heel

Mens Dunham Burlington Oxford Review
By Andrew, from Sydney, Australia | October 18, 2013
I was looking for sturdy wide fitting shoes. These shoes are made of a soft, flexible leather and matches the shape of the foot. The soles provide solid footing and are not slippery. The shoes' thick soles cushion the feet when walking on hard surfaces like concrete. If I did have a criticism it would be the back of the shoe could be firmer.Overall a really good stylist, sturdy fitting shoe.

Shoe felt kind of wide and the edges around the shoe dug into my foot...no padding at all.

Purchased these for work and I am very satisfied. Good-looking shoe that fits well out of the box. I haven't had any problems and the shoe is comfortable for walking around the city, getting to and from work.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. They were comfortable right out of the box and required no break in period for him. He says his feet aren't tired at the end of the day when he wears them.
