The shoe fits great but I have a hard time getting the shoe to fit tight on my foot with a straight velcro strap that doesn't loop through one side and pull down on the other to tighten. I don't know if this was intentional on Drew's part but it doesn't work for me and I will not order another pair with velcro. Laces only. Shoe buy is great and will do business again.

Very comfortable and sturdy. Excellent for people with diabetic foot problems. The shoe does not wear out quickly, making it worth the extra money it costs over the competition.

These are good looking, well built shoes, BUT...I have a slightly wider than normal foot (D width) across the ball. My heels are rather narrow. If you have a similar foot build, then DO NOT buy these shoes. They fit fine across the arch and toes, but are so loose in width at the heel that I cannot get the shoes tight enough to stay firm on my feet. They actually bow out at the heel. It is like wearing flip-flops!My wife also has a pair of Drews and has exactly the same problem. Back to New Balance, I guess.

My prescription orthotics caused a squeaking with the shoes with the first insole removed to allow room. When I removed the second insert, the squeak went away. Very comfortable shoe with superior support to other brands I have tried in four years of wearing custom orthotics.

I am a large man with thick, wide, feet coupled with a high instep. I had a compound fracture of my ankle and had to have 2 plates put in and it's almost like the swelling never went completely down. I also think I have some edema. For two years I have been wearing cheap slippers that I cut to accommodate my feet because I couldn't find a pair of shoes to fit. Thank goodness for Drew Shoes. The extra depth did the trick. I took out one insert and they fit like a glove. Extremely comfortable, no break in time needed. I am 61 and thought I would never wear shoes again. What a relief. This is also a very nice looking shoe, the quality of the shoe is excellent, and the velcro straps are terrific.
