I am a diabetic and I bought the Drew Navigator for the easy on easy off velcro strap. Period. But while I thought that the strap would be the best part of the shoe, I was wrong. The strap is the worst part of the shoe. Leaning your feet to the side or putting your feet next to a flat surface (as in when you drive) or brushing against something causes the strap to "curl" and you have to "roll" the strap in the opposite direction to get it flat again. I do like the strap, but it can be a pain. What I really found that I like about the shoe is the way it repels dirt, mud and water. I have been wearing the Navigator for a few weeks and the soles are still clean! It rained the other day and all I had to do to get the mud off is to use a paper towel on them and they looked like new again.Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and I think you will be too.

It has always been extremely hard to find shoes that fit my feet properly. I could never walk into a shoe store and purchase a pair of shoes. I searched mail order catalogues and web sites constntly. Then some three years ago I found the Drew shoe and ordered it. It was everything I could want in a shoe. It was very soft, extremely comfortable, gave me the support I needed and easy on and off with the velcro fastener. I am well advanced in age and have disabilities. I have purchased my 4th pair of Drew shoes and I am totally satisfied. I recommend the Drew shoe strongly.

Velcro strap way too long. Otherwise a great, comfortable shoe.

Purchased for my father who wears an orthotic. He was thrilled to find that they were easy to put on, and did not need a long "break in" period like his other shoes. The removable sole allowed plenty of room for his orthotic. Extremely comfortable and nice looking.
