A great new look for Drew. Flare is one of the industry's few athletic shoes with added depth and double added depth in one shoe. Drilex® covered insoles with AGEIS® anti-microbial features keep the foot cool and dry. A built-in heel cushion pad and rocker bottom with wide shank add to the shoe's overall comfort and performance.

Fit: This style tends to run wide. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size smaller than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7 1/2, we recommend purchasing a size 7.

Very comfortable on the soles of my feet. The only problem I have with them is they come up a little too high on my ankle and rub my on ankle bone. Hopefully with wear they won't rub so much.

Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked
I really wanted to like these shoes. I need a roomy toe box for a neuroma and a stiff sole for an arthritic toe joint. Sadly, even the narrow had ridiculously wide heels. No matter what inserts I tried my heels slipped. The shoes offer no cushioning but I probably could have worked around that. They actually don't look too bad even in my size 11.

I love the Flare shoe by Drew. I have been wearing Drew shoes for many years and always felt they were the best shoe on the market especially if you have problem feet and/or wear large, wide shoes. I wear a size ll.5 or 12 with extra wide width (3x). I ordered my first Flare in bone back in March,2012 and I wore it every day as it is so comfortable. I just purchased a second pair to wear when we go out. Your feet and body get used to one style of shoe, especially when you are a senior. I recommend Flare and Drew shoes for everyone.

I have hammertoes and bunions and have a terrible time finding shoes that work. Drew shoes are the only ones that come close to fitting. I also need more padding which I wish the shoe came with so I buy insoles.

These shoes are very sturdy--good for people who have flat feet and pronation. My orthotics fit fine in them. The beige color goes fine with light colored slacks for summer. I found the length to be true to size, but the width is definitely wider than the double A that I ordered. However, it is a lace up shoe, so I can tighten them well. I think the shoes will last a long time.
