I was looking for a pair of shoes with a thinner sole. A lot of casual shoes have thick, heavy soles, these are fine in bad weather. For the better weather, I was looking for something lighter. These are just right. Immediately comfortable, they feel well worn in. The toe is slightly too pointed, but only slightly, and anyway, it depends on personal preference.
