The on-the-fly Boa® lacing system is an adjustable reel on the back of the shoe that controls ultra-thin strands of strategically placed, airplane-grade steel wires. A quick twist of the reel tightens the tiny strands and provides a unique fit that is unattainable in other comfort footwear. A simple pull on the reel releases the laces. It's the only therapeutic footwear offering the Boa® technology.

Lacing system works well. Shoe is comfortable. Shoe is too narrow at toes. Shoe may be labeled 1/2 size larger than what it actually is.

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked
I purchased the black version after previously purchasing the brown/nubuck version that I liked very much. Both were ordered as and arrived marked 8.5 wide. The black shoes are narrower than the brown shoes. After several days of indoor wear, I found that though narrower, the width of the black shoes was sufficient. The shoes overall are great and comfortable especially for a diabetic with unrelated foot problems.
