Traditional sneakers for tennis don't seem wide enough for my feet, or if they are, they are either heavy and clunky or have no substance to them to provide a cushion. The Drews (Aaron) is a little heavy at first for long singles tennis matches, but after a few nights on hard courts in these shoes, my feet were thanking me! The cushioning and responsive fit more than compensated for the disadvantage of the weight. The main insole of two that came with the shoes was too thick for the lateral direction changes required for tennis, so I used the thin alternate insole over a very stiff and thin bottom insole. The size and width of the shoe still leaves my 3E feet plenty of breathing room and comfort. Worth every penny of the price in terms of stability, cushion, and improved sleep. Joint pain in toes, ankles, and plantar tendon is gone. These shoes should be every foot specialists starting point for building custom orthotics.
