I bought this boot for motorcycle riding and the are fabulous! I didn't want boots with a zipper so the extra time lacing up is something that I asked for which might not be for you. The leather is supple so the break-in time is minimal. They aren 't too heavy either.

I absolutely love this boot. It is comfortable and well made like all Docs. It folds down and can be buckled and laced in that position to show off the cool pink tartan on the inside.

I haven't stop using them since i got them. I get a lot of compliments, these are truly the kind of shoes that make heads turn. They are a little bit heavy but I think it's normal. And also LOVING the satin laces, they are so femme and stylish.

They are great shoes;I didn't have to break them in at all.I just put them on and off and I went on a San Francisco run with a few friends.Comfortable boots just to put on and go.I would highly reccommended.
