Make sure you wear thick socks with them. I bought them as motorcycle boots and walked around all day in them and am still sore from the blisters.

Doc Martens have been a part of my wardrobe since I lived in England a few years back. My first pair were Cherry Reds -- I still have them. I purchased a pair of black 8-hole boots a half-size too small back in 1998 -- last year my toe finally broke through. So I decided to go back to the taller version.Unbelievably, I did not have to break them in. They were on my feet for 6 hours straight and no blisters, no chafing. They are THE BEST.
Wears this shoe: Whenever I can, unless more conservative footware is appropriate.

I love the color! It really is the perfect color of red, meaning red enough but not "in your face" red. They are exactly as I had hoped, just the right height. They required some breaking in, but were comfortable out of the box. The tongues require some attention to make sure that when they break in that the tongue still stays in the middle.They come with two sets of laces which is cool. One Doc Marten yellow and one black. Super comfortable shoes and I get SO many compliments on them when I wear them.
Wears this shoe: Always. I wear them with skirts, jeans, dresses.

I hated the discomfort of the first two or three times I wore them, but now there comfy and look tooo punk!!! But I think the tounge should be wider because I have big calves but it's all good besides that!

I bought these for my girlfriend for her birthday as she fell in love with the red doc martens in The Last Exorcism--I liked the slightly taller version than the ones used in the movie, so I ordered her these. I must have spent over 6 hours researching doc martens before buying these from shoebuy and I could not be happier with my decision: shoebuy's sizing guidance was excellent and when she tried them on, they fit perfectly. She wears them almost every day and they made her absolutely ecstatic.She normally wears a US women's size 8.5, but I ordered the 9 upon recommendation from reviewers and several sellers, and they fit her perfectly, so this shoe runs a bit small. I would definitely recommend going a half size up.Overall, an amazing shoe and an amazing purchase!
