I really like this boot. It took about a week to break in. I suggest getting some socks wet, ring them out and wear them for as long as you can stand it. The water helps break in the leather faster. Thes boots are larger than most other doc marten shoes. I normally wear a size 10 in most shoes, size 9 in most dos, but these I could have got away with a size 8. If you arent sure on size, go a size smaller with these.

They are a little stiff to begin with and it lasts for about 3 days of consecutive wearing. This can be reduced a little by taking the strings out and treating them with mink oil for a couple days before you wear them. The mink oil reduces creasing in the toe of the boots and makes them more water resistant. I also got some gel insole inserts and all is perfect now. In a nutshell, if you want ten eyed Docs, look no further. Don't forget the mink oil!

I have been wearing Doc Martens for over 16 years. I'm always pleased with how comfortable these boot are. This boot is no exception. As with all new boots, the leather is pretty stiff upon arrival, but after a week or so, it becomes very pliable and fantastic to wear! I have not noticed anything about the new sole that I can complain about.
