I have never owned a pair of Dr. Martens but I always wanted them since the early 1990's. Now I am 36, a busy mom who needs dependable, practical boots but still fashionable and trendy. I cannot slip on any floor with these boots. I absolutely love the sole of the shoe. I love the construction. A bit hard to lace up the first time, but once completed, the zipper is the main avenue in and out of the boot. I love the metallic distressed finish. I am a size 9 US so their conversion chart was true to size. My only complaint is that it is now lined. The inside is raw leather so it will wear harder on the sock heel. The first week I had to reinforce my heel with a big band-aid to prevent a blister but my feet are used to them now.
Wears this shoe: Daily - at least twice to three times a week.

They are supremely comfortable and grab people's eyes.I never tire of hearing how great they look! Even though they are not made in the UK as the Doc's of old, they feel fine! You won't be disappointed!

The appearance in the original picture I looked at seemed a little more dull and light than the boot actually is. I like the look even though it's not what I expected and it's the same story with the sole. The sole has a less firm form than other shoes I've tried, but there is no discomfort and the shoe wears well through a full day where half the day or more I'm on my feet.
Wears this shoe: I have worn it to work, a preschool in Berkeley, and casually running errands.

I bought these because I wanted to stand out among a sea of shoes... And I did. These shoes are very comfortable, the foot bed is cushiony and the boot leather is soft yet structure/form is still there. There are no hard surfaces that rub any part of my skin/foot/leg. They also have a zipper on the side (inner area) so I don't have to lace the boots all the way just to get my foot in. The color is as pictured and matches everything in my closet. I highly recommend this shoe if you are looking for tall, casual boots.

These are probably the most comfortable boots I have ever worn! There was literally no break in period whatsoever. The color is amazing and truly seems to go with everything.
