Shoebuy.com was awesome. My boots came in 3 days. Great service. The ouch part is the patent leather Dr Martins. The heal is quite stiff and I had to walk not even a quarter mile. Huge blister and still hurts 2 weeks later from where the back leather of the boot bends at the heal. I wonder if there is a way to wear them in? They look great, but I'm going to be wearing them around the house for awhile.

This boot's color/texture is a gorgeous sparkly brown bronzy patent. It is way dressier than my regular leather 1460 boots. It is much stiffer at the beginning, but it is so pretty that I didn't care whether fat boot socks fit inside. I wear Doc Martens, especially boots, to support my feet and ankles, and I wear them with an orthotic insert. It fits fine.

I havent owned a pair of boots, outside of hiking boots, ever. I wanted something a little funky and wild. I got what I wanted. Patent leather is a little stiff, but I have worn the boots daily for a week and they are now quite soft and comfortable. The seam across the toe made the boot very tight, but it stretched faster than the seam up the heal. I have wide feet and a high instep.I purchased my boots for riding my motorcycle, wanting something different. They are now comfortable enough (broken in) to wear anywhere.Quality is great.
