This is a sturdy and well-made shoe - no problems with the quality! The actual width did not match my expectations - all Docs I have used have a rounder and better look than this one. The flatter and wider shape makes it a strange shoe with none of the elegance of the traditional Doc. The size seemed a lot smaller than my other Docs of the same size - tighter and less comfortable start!

The tops were quite stiff for the first few days to the point of being mildly uncomfortable still at the end of day 2 by the end of the week they had succumbed and gave in but that is a good sign because it means there is some real material there. The weight is lighter than I expected for how well built they seem to be thus far.Only concern (i won't even call it a compliant) is that the warmer weather is finally rolling into Ohio and they are a little warm due to their thickness of material.

I was so happy to get this shoe in person and see that it looked as good as pictured - I love the dark color and the style is very much to my liking - sort of shoe that can go with khakis or jeans just as easy. The style and color and comfort of shoe is just as I had hoped and the fit was just as I needed - no trick with getting right size. Recommend the shoe!
