Dr. Martens have taken their classic work boots and ever so slightly revamped them with a more contemporary look. Traditional heat sealed welted construction with classic Dr. Martens air cushioned soles.
Features and benefits include slip resistant trans PVC outsole, Cosmo® moisture wicking lining, Smartmask™ padded footbed, welted Z-stitch construction, and full grain leathers.
Dr Martens air cushioned sole for additional shock absorbing properties. Reduces the risk of slips and falls on hazardous surfaces. Meets or Exceeds ASTM F1677-96 (Mark ii Machine) a value of 0.25 as a safety margin for soilings tested on oily, greasy, icy, soapy or oily/wet surfaces. Will help protect the wearer against accidental contact with electrical charge by offering additional insulation from the ground. Offers enhanced weather protection and resistance from the water absorption by the use of water resistant leather uppers.

I had to return this shoe because it was too big & wide and the back of my foot came out completely when I walked in my house with them on. I tried thicker socks and different shoelaces since I find I can tie shoes tighter with flat laces, but to no avail. When I decided to try Doc Martens for my next pair of work shoes rather then my standard Shoes for Crews (SFC) brand I did extensive research first on all the different types of shoes offered in their Industrial line. Though I was tempted to buy boots, I decided these were closest to my favorite style of SFC shoes in looks and tech/comfort features so they would be best for comparing to see which I liked best.These obviously didn't meet my expectations. It can be very difficult to find regular shoes with my narrow feet, but even harder with work shoes which tend to fit wider still then the average regular/medium width shoe. The width combined with their whole sizes when I wear a size 6.5 U.S. & the heavy weight of the sole made this a disaster of a fit for me.I bought a pair of the Dr. Martens 8936IGHUD Industrial Boots to replace these, because the boots and thus ties go over my ankles so they stay on my feet & the lighter sole probably doesn't hurt either.

I love Dr. Marten shoes. My wife and I have probably purchased 14 pairs of the shoes in the past 9 years. We are always thrilled with the quality, fit, comfort, etc. I recently purchased a pair of the industrial shoes to get the slip resistant sole. I do not work in an industrial environment to put the shoes through their paces (I sell Harley Davidson motorcycles for a living). After wearing the shoes about a dozen times, one of the metal eyelets at the top of the shoe broke off as I was tightening up the laces. It is now very difficult to tighten the laces on the shoe and has pretty much ruined the shoes for my needs. I do a lot of walking in a days' time and a loose shoe will most definitely cause blistering.
