  • Doc Martens Steel Toe Shoe March 05, 2010

Overall this is a decent steel toe work shoe for the price. It is definitley nothing to brag about. It is not what you would expect from Dr. Martens, but maybe something to expect since they outsourced it. The interior lining is cheap. There was pilling in the heel within the first week. The insole is also cheap. The sole and outer shoe wear very well.

I purchased these shoes to replace a pair of the same that I bought 18 months ago. I was so pleased with the comfort and durability of these shoes I purchased them again. In fact I will buy again.

The shoes fit well, maybe a slight bit large, but they still fit. The best thing about the shoes are that they are comfortable enough to wear all day. Although they are kind of heavy because of their nature as safety shoes, I still got a comment from a colleague that they look nice.

  • Works, but a bit heavy & uncomfortable at times June 13, 2009

Need the shoe for work and planned on wearing it all day. However, it turns out that the area where the steel toe is located sometimes pushes against the top of my foot, and that gets uncomfortable after a while. Aside from that, the shoe is comfortable enough to wear 8 hours a day.

  • Durable, comfortable, and great-looking! January 02, 2009

Steel-toe safety shoes are mandatory where I work, and I like great style. So, why not have both? I bought a pair of these over three years ago, and they continue to serve me well. I can't imagine going a day without them. They look sorta beat up now, but the leather, stitching, and soles are holding up quite well. It goes without saying that they are very comfortable, and I don't feel they have lost any of their original resilience and cushiness. The laces haven't even broken yet!
