Can anyone make a comfortable steel toe shoe?

I have always liked Dr. Martens since I was a teenager. They look great and hold up to all kinds of abuse. My latest pair looks great; however, the steel cap on the right foot cuts into the top of my foot just above my toes. It's strange how the left foot is fine and the right one causes me grief. In the future, I will look into a different brand.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable and durable. I was worried about buying a steel toe, especially online, but this shoe just feels great. No problems whatsoever.
Wears this shoe: 12 hour work day -- and it's great for church, too.
There is a Dr. in the house.!!!

Great fit, great feel, great,great shoe.Comfortable,the first day they felt like they had been worn for a year.I have some tough critics at my job and even they were impressed by my choice of work shoe.There really is a Dr. in my house.Thanks.

I have previously owned Docs, so I knew I would like them. Doc steel toes are a bit on the heavy side, but I am used to wearing them. I like the style, feel, and quality of the shoes. They also last a very long time. It would be helpful if the website stated what industry standards the shoes met. It took some research on other sites to make sure these shoes met the ASTM industrial standards for steel toe shoes. My workplace requires that the shoes meet the ASTM.
