I have been wearing Dr. Martens forever, and haven't felt compelled to buy another pair until these. I was apprehensive, given that they aren't made in England anymore, but the quality was better than I expected. Still "cheaper" than the originals, and with that lame logo imprint on the side, but still very cool. The finish is darker than the pics, like an antique mirror. the soles are also slightly darker than all the other Docs I have had.
