Good Work Boot
By Frank, from Tucson, AZ | March 03, 2014
I work at a Mine. Like the ease of a slip on boot. Heavy padding around ankle for added protection. Very light and comfortable. Appear to be well made. Wearing well so far. Tread is very non slip, perfect for wet, slippery environments. Half the price of my old boots but twice as comfortable. Only downside I found was if your socks don't go past the top edge of the boot the boot will rub your shin. The material is rough and will irritate it. Solved the problem with a $0.99 piece of felt fabric square. Cut a strip and glued it in place with a hot glue gun.

Great Pair of Leather Boots
By Jerry, from Los Angeles, CA | October 19, 2012
I do like the sturdy look and the construction of the boots. They have that rugged look. The boots do weigh a lot more than I thought but they are still very comfortable to my feet. I do highly recommend this pair to anybody. Great for riding motorcycles too!

Great buy
By Gave, from Missouri | June 19, 2012
These boots are great. I was a little worried about the width because I am 6'4 with big feet. It took three days for the shoes to breakin but I have no complaints and seeing how I am in them for twelve hours a day and I don't come home with sore feet I highly recommend them. My best buy of the year.

Every six months I replace my boots
By Carlos, from Los Angeles | December 06, 2011
I love this Dr. Martens. It does not take to long to break in, and that is good because I replace my boots every six months.

Looked Perfect, very uncomfortable
By discerning boot guy, from New England | June 14, 2011
I bought these because I needed a new pair of riding boots. Initially, I liked them a lot. Then I put them on. They were uncomfortably tight on the instep, initially, which improves somewhat as the boots break in. This is a mixed blessing, since this is what keeps the boots in place, unlike some Western style boots that feel like they will fall off with every step. The major problem with these boots (and this is true of the steel toe version only) is that they are painfully uncomfortable after about 15-20 minutes. I am always aware of the steel toe-box, and the curvature of the boot makes my forefoot hurt a lot. With respect to this possibly being a fit or break-in issue, there is almost 1/2 inch between my toe and the front of the boot, and I have worn the boots several times.Overall, I am very disappointed, and my search for a decent pair of boots continues.
