Double-H Boot Company formerly the Richland Shoe Company, was founded in 1955 as a producer of high quality Western footwear at a fair price. After almost 40 years of exerting a strong influence in the western and urban footwear categories, the name was changed to Double-H Boot Company in 1992. Double-H began with Work Western, Ranch Wellington and Western boots for the Cowboy, worker in the heartland, and dedicated western boot wearer. As consumer needs changed, Double-H added a line of safety boots, lace-ups and packers. The Double-H line has diversified to include buckaroo boots, crepes and super ropers. Double H also introduced a line of urban boots that appeal to the hard-core rider and everyday consumer.
