These boots looked like plastic, not leather. They were also too narrow. Had to send them back.

Tried these boots they were one style that had my size. A 7EE is hard to find. I have had other double H boots so I try to stay with them because I like their durabilty and comfort. I like the rubber soles because I work with some acids when cleaning coils and they hold up to these conditions.
Wears this shoe: to work and after 16 to 18 hours a day

I like the briar color and the fit. I also like the leather lining. Some of the more expensive boots have no lining which makes them more difficult to pull on.
Wears this shoe: I wear them for casual wear and motorcycle riding.

These boots are good. They were a little tight the first few days I wore them, but they have since conformed to my feet and are very comfortable. This is the first pair of Double H boots I have worn and I am considering buying another pair.

My hubby, a professional CDL driver, had been wearing leather soled western boots while driving the big rig. A couple of times, he has slipped while making the 3 point dismount, but saved himself because he was doing it correctly. These boots, I was sure he was going to hate because they weighed more and could not be polished to a spit shine like he likes to go to the customer, but the more he wears them, the better he likes them. They have now saved him from falling off the truck with the gripping sole and so "like" changed to LOVE right after that. He chose to break them in while walking a swap meet/flea market and they were comfortable right out of the box. We will be buying more pairs if and when this one wears out, I guarantee that. Even if he quits driving, these boots are sturdy enough for any type outdoor work. They are substantial and if you search the net for a coupon code, you can probably get something off them from Shoebuy. Overall, this is the best boot he's ever owned for any reason. I highly recommend them and frankly, I don't really like writing reviews but these deserve full credit. So, Truckers, this is the boot for you if you walk those nasty truck stop parking lots filled with oil and other toxic waste and if you want to keep from falling off your truck, which you should be using the 3 point dismount anyway....I'm just sayin...there is a green thing in the middle of the bottom sole that makes it comfortable and safe. GREAT BOOTS!
