This is a nice boot. It feels great, looks great and I have gotten many compliments. I purchased the boot because I really liked the way it looked, I needed a comfortable boot for riding and I appreciated the reviews on the boot. However, the image of the boot is a little misleading. It shows the boot to be of a smoother and shinnier leather, (cowboy leather) and in truth, the boot is smooth, but the leather is a real "motorcycle leather". I was a little disappointed, but after trying it on and feeling the support, softness, and comfort, I felt a lot better about the look/leather.

I bought several different brands of harness boots to compare, and found these to be the most well made for the price. The shaft is made of very thick leather, and I found I need to wear a tall boot sock to prevent the top of the shaft from chafing my shin; I'm sure the leather will soften once broken in. I also like them because the heel is narrower and fit better than others like Frye that have a wider heel. I bought them in black and brown. I also have a pair of antiqued red harness by Frye, which I got for a super sale price. The Double H are comparable to Frye at a much better price. I love these boots!
Wears this shoe: Mostly in cooler weather to work or out on the town.

I love the style, just what I wanted....but, the top was very tight on my calf. Way too tight in the calf area.
