Plain toe, lace-up boot with waxy tumbled, full grain leather upper is a versatile look you'll love with everything from slacks to cords. Stain Defender repels most water-based stains to helps assist in the care and maintenance of these shoes. Flex construction, cushioned footbed and padded collar provide all day comfort. Polyurethane outsoles with "sure-grip" tread design help keep a steady step.

We purchased this same shoe a year ago at Sears. It was a Docker Stain Defender... perhaps exclusive name to Sears. My husband travels to France, Spain, England and Italy for trade shows and for customer visits. He needs a shoe that is okay for standing long hours and durable and comfortable enough for walking city streets. It's nice to find the same style that we bought a year or so ago. Husband's first pair is still in good shape. Husband wears regular dress socks - not super thin but definitely not fuzzy or thick. Shoes don't scuff, and soles are durable.

I have difficulty finding shoes that fit since I began wearing orthotic inserts. The wide Dockers generally fit well and the Shelter is no exception. The Shelters were comfortable out of the box and are still comfortable a few weeks later.
Wears this shoe: I wear them in the hospital where I work.

These are a great shoe for style, fit and durability. I've ordered a pair each year and wear them daily. They're good in rough situations and where there is rain, mud and touch terrain nut at the same time they look good and not like hiking or work shoes.
