| | About Airport Safe/Steel Free: |
|---|
| | | Airport safe/steel free footwear refers to footwear made without the use of steel. In order to provide basic support and stability, shoes generally feature a metal plate called a shank, which is located within the sole and right below the arch. Airport safe/steel free shoes replace this steel structure with a composite, non-metal shank that will not trigger metal detectors, yet still offers the same support. |

I gave this a 4 simply do to my personal taste. Having worn Nike Air Max for years until injuring my foot, this is a difficult style adjustment. BUT, it has the width I now need, and once I fooled around and came up with a two insole combination it is extremely comfortable for walking, standing etc. When I can't use FitFlops i am using these around the house. I have not tried them outside yet but plan to comver them with Totes and try today. They may be the only thingIcan use to cut grass this summer.
Wears this shoe: With pants, for walking with heavy socks, standing, etc.
