| | About Formal Shoes: |
|---|
| | | A dress shoe for special occasions such as weddings or proms. Formal shoes are typically made from more delicate materials, such as patent leather, peau de soie, satin, or silk. Formal shoes often feature a plain toe for a more conservative, polished look. |
|
| | About Prom: |
|---|
| | | Prom describes a type of footwear specially designed for prom night. Prom shoe styles vary widely in design and color, and their different styles can be chosen depending on the prom gown they are meant to complement. Still, the most common prom styles are generally ankle straps and slingback sandals with medium to high heels with shinny uppers or decorated with sparkling ornaments. Low heel thong sandals decorated with sparkling rhinestones are also a popular choice. |
|
| | About Rhinestones: |
|---|
| | | Rhinestones are glass, acrylics, or rock crystals used as decorative ornamentation on women's shoes and jewelry. Rhinestones shimmer, sparkle, and reflect light which enhance the look of evening wear. |

Better than Expected

First, it doesn't say in the description on this website, though I should have guessed by the brand name, these are considered "Halloween" shoes. Not that that really mattered. They are much cuter in person than they are even in the picture! The biggest problems I have with this shoes are this: the back zipper and heel comes up way too high on my foot, making it rub against my ankle and heel. Also, my foot tends to slide forward, but I think that's just a problem with this style of shoe, since there's not much to keep your foot there. I think both of these problems can be solved with some shoe cushions. Aside from the rubbing, they were more comfortable in the sole than I expected.

Dressy Sandal

After a long search for a formal shoe, this one came through for me. I have wide feet and had to go up a size but it feels great in all the short walks around my house which is miles ahead of any other formal shoe I've bought. I haven't worn them to my occasion as of yet but feel confident it will be a pain free night!

Lava Shoes Explode
Very pretty shoe

They have a plastic piece around the thing that goes between your toes that is uncomfortable. Once I removed it carefully, the shoes feel pretty comfortable. They're a little slippery on the part of the shoe that your foot rests on. I might be wearing them to my daughter's beach wedding. I'll wear them around the house for a while to make sure they feel good enough to wear for the wedding. They are really shiny and pretty.

Dyeables Majesty
Good, solid shoe

I wasn't sure what to expect of a Dyeable shoe. I hadn't worn one since prom and that's been awhile! But the shoe was cute, fit pretty good, and after two coats of dye, looked pretty sharp. If you're dyeing the shoe yourself, tape off the soles, buckles, etc and you'll get a much better result.
