Quality material and comfortable enough for everyday wear if desired. I work in emergency medicine and wore these boots to work for a 4 hour shift with the intention of hiking afterwards...well it ended up turning into 12 straight hours on my feet without a hint of discomfort. I've mucked around in them, worn them in snow/slush and the waterproofing is solid. I'm an 11.5 and these fit true to size although they seemed a bit snug on my toes the first day or two however that soon went away (maybe pressure on the toe area while boxed?) Overall very satisfied, when you spend over 90 dollars on a pair of boots you expect comfort and quality and these have delivered. As far as long term quality I can't make any statements as I've only had them about a month.

I'm looking forward to hiking up Mt Fuji in these shoes. They are comfortable and provide excellent support. I have thus far been walking in them through the country side but will be putting them through the paces on jungle trails in Borneo.

Love these shoes! Simply upon visual inspection you'll be able to tell that this shoe is made of quality materials with superior construction. The VIBRAM sole is great and the shoe is SOLID. When walking, running, standing, hiking ect. the shoe feels firm beneath the feet yet allows you to still feel SOME of the terrain though the sole which I like a lot and the traction is much better than I expected. Walking through wet grass is no problem because of the upper construction of the shoe because of the GORTEX layer in that area. In general the shoe is very comfortable and I have to say this is the best pair of shoes I have ever owned. These are my standard every day shoes so I have had plenty of time to analyze them since I wear them every day. I like the cushioning and the ARCH CHASSIS and HEAL CRADLE PRO on the inside of the shoe that I don't think they even mentioned as a selling point. These shoes conformed perfectly to my feet and the support is excellent in my opinion. Now if these shoes last like my last pair did (New Balance cross trainers that lasted a little over 2 yrs) I'll be giddy as hell.
