This shoe's heel is not like the picture. The sole is slightly raised by a heel inset, thus making it not like the picture on the site or the original style of the shoe. And, instead of being a flat sole it is now curved. I'm not sure why they changed it, but I am returning mine.

The boots need a little breaking in but the fit is great. I wear a 9.5 so I ordered a size larger than marked. I found out afterwards that these boots are sized a half size larger than marked and shoebuy customer service made the change for me even after my order was placed. The boots fit really nice and the monkey boot vibe is there like it was in the 80s. Great boots, great look.

A great reproduction of the originals that came out of England in the early 80's. Although the quality is not as the originals, for the price and service from shoebuy.com it's well worth the purchase. The shoe does run about a half size larger but still fits good. The down side of this shoe is the removable in sloe. It is hard as a rock and offers no comfort to the shoe whatsoever.

This boot is a basic ankle boot, which is hard to find for men. It's a little higher up the ankle than my last pair of monkey boots.The quality of construction is solid if a little spare. The leather is not padded on the sides. I put an insole in and my foot fits almost perfectly now. They are generally pretty comfortable to walk in.The sole of the shoe is soft rubber and leaves black marks.All in all this is a good boot, but not a great boot. For the price it's good value.
